Bards of the Blogosphere Special – A Bard a Day – No. 1 Dr. Roshan Radhakrishnan

So who are the Bards of the Blogosphere?  We (because I’m a member too) are a group of Indian-based bloggers, randomly brought together by Blogadda, the Indian blogging hub. We are co-writing a novella.  It’s well underway and is an exciting story of drama, intrigue, suspense and…..well, you’ll just have to read it to find out.  The Bards are taking part inthe Game of Blogs, an activity promoted by Blogadda to #CelebrateBlogging.  Let’s meet the Bards, one by one.  First on the list is Dr. Roshan Radhakrishnan, anaesthetist and award winning fiction writer.  He’s just won the Indireads Short Competition Popular Pick award in the drama category.  Roshan, or “Doc” as he’s popularly known, is a man with quite a sense of humour, as this interview shows.

Can you share a little about yourself?
I’m an anaesthetist – that’s the guy who knocks you unconscious inside operation theaters using drugs, injections and really bad jokes. I also blog at Godyears.net occasionally… you know, like the last 9 years or so… no biggie! :). (Note from Maria – he’s extremely modest – his blog has been awarded as the Best Creative Writing Blog in India – plus he congratulated me on MY recent Indireads win without mentioning that he’d won too)

How are you enjoying being a Bard of the Blogosphere?

A really smart concept by Blogadda to group random bloggers together and unleash their collective creativity and I think I’ve been lucky. I have some wonderfully talented open-minded bloggers who have helped weave a truly brilliant story together in such an insane short period of time.

How does it feel to cowrite a novella?  Have you done this before?

Do you know the ending to the story?

I know the last line of this story. No, seriously… I know exactly where I want my characters to be and what they should be staring at as the words “THE END” come up.

Can you sum up this experience in a Tweet sized sentence?
Truly unique experience and one that will inspire all the Bards to #CelebrateBlogging even more.
